
I watched this film last night. Though the story is delicately woven and some actors/actresses perform brilliantly, I still feel quite detached from what the film is trying to reach.
A few quick notes on several main characters:
The Queen is dignified and respectable, bravely fighting for what she holds in high esteem.
It's at some degrees to my surprise that Tony Blair is protrayed as the most human and likeable fugure, especially in comparison to how the media has turned on him recently.
Princess Di is still quite charming and controversial.
Prince Philip appears to be a snobbish and too-old-styled old man.
As for Prince Charles, poor Charlie, he remains the target of ridicule...
