It is really an interesting episode, and a very educational one. :)

Last week, when we praciticed discussing famous brands and businesses in Taiwan. One of our classmates mentioned "Tasty," but he didn't clearly pronounce the long vowel, so the word sounded like "testy." The teacher seemed to be a little terrified and asked him to explain what it is. The classmate said, "Well, it's a steak house." The teacher understood it, but emphatically corrected his pronunciation and suggested that he be VERY VERY careful with this word.

Our class joined the following good-hearted laughing with the teacher, yet some looked a little bit confused, for being not sure of what is so funny about it.

Well, I can only say when "Tasty" mispronounced, one runs the risk of being heard saying "testis," which is a short form of "testicle."

The meaning of "testicle"?
Don't ask me. Look it up in a dictionary. ^_^
